Ok so let me be honest: this post is really just an excuse to show all the the pictures I took in Borough Market, also known as my heaven on earth.
We have food markets in NYC. We have the Union Square Greenmarket, the Park Slope Farmers’ Market, Chelsea Farmers’ Market, the list goes on.
But we don’t have a Borough Market.
I don’t know if I can even describe Borough Market. It’s Union Square Greenmarket meets Murray’s Cheese meets Smorgasburg meets old world butcher shop.
I guess I just described it.
But rather than talking about it, let me take you on a visual journey with me (if Beyoncé can call a music video a visual album I can call my ramblings a visual journey, are we agreed?).
Let’s start from the beginning…

This post is what I’m going to look at when I’m sad from now on, or when I have an upper respiratory infection and feel like an elephant (cookie) is sitting on my chest. Fun fact! If you have a cough and a sore throat for over a week, it might not just be allergies.
When you know, you know.
Anyway, this weekend is supposed to be gorgeous so let’s all agree to make do with whatever farmers’ market we can get to and cook something with fresh veggies.
This is a very good idea.
So fun to see your Borough Market photos! I was just there a two weeks ago and it was so fun. Unfortunately I’d just had a huge breakfast, so I only ate with my eyes 😉
